Nick Vanessa Live Kelly Video

Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi appeared on Tuesday’s “Live With Kelly,” just hours after “The Bachelor” finale. Watch below!

As Gossip Cop reported, Viall and Grimaldi became engaged on Monday night’s final episode. Following the broadcast, they appeared on “After The Final Rose,” and played the “Newly-Engaged Game” on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” They were then supposed to fly to New York for in-person appearances on “GMA” and “Live,” but due to the winter storm, both interviews were conducted remotely.

Speaking via satellite from Los Angeles, Grimaldi told Kelly Ripa and co-host Josh Gad, “Going into [the] proposal, I was hoping he was going to propose. I was ready to say yes. So I’m glad he did.” But neither reality star is hiding the challenges they’ve dealt with since then.

In fact, Viall made it clear they are very much trying to deal with “the reality of the situation we find ourselves in.” He explained, “We met on ‘The Bachelor.’ I was dating 29 other women at first… [Then] it was long-distance at first and then we had to relive that entire process together [on TV], which is difficult and challenging.”

“We just didn’t feel the need to kind of sugarcoat it,” Viall said of the “hurdles” they’ve faced. “Things have been great, and we’ve also had our ups and downs.” Grimaldi also acknowledged, “The biggest compromise on my end is uprooting.” Despite her move to the U.S., Viall still predicted, “I’m sure I’ll be going to Montreal quite a bit.”

But when asked about a TV wedding, that option was very obviously not on their minds right now. “We have not discussed wedding plans yet. We’re going to first figure out where we want to have dinner together as a couple in public and things like that,” Viall said, adding, “We’re very realistic.” Check out the video below.
