Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka’s marriage is not “falling apart,” despite a completely untrue tabloid report. Gossip Cop is assured the alleged marital drama is entirely made-up.

According to In Touch, Harris recently propositioned a man at a Chicago bar by giving him his number and inviting him to his hotel room. A so-called “source” tells the magazine that the man responded by saying, “Aren’t you married?” but the actor told him, “My marriage isn’t working out.”

Another alleged insider says that Harris and Burtka’s relationship is “on shaky ground” over their differing personalities. “Neil is outgoing and loves to party and go out on a moment’s notice, while David often calls himself ‘Mr. Homebody,’” says the supposed source, who further purports that Harris can be high maintenance and moody. “That drains David. So that’s a constant source of conflict. They’ve been dealing with their problems for a long time.”

Gossip Cop, however, is told by a source close to the couple that there’s simply no truth to the tabloid’s account of their marriage. We’re further assured that the actor never hit on another man at a Chicago bar, and the spouses’ relationship is going strong. In fact, just a little more than a week ago, Harris posted an Instagram video on Christmas in which he and his husband open presents with their two kids and discuss how “love is magic,” as they have their arms around one another. Also, the happy couple just spent the holidays together in Buenos Aires.

Harris and Burtka started dating in 2004, had twins via a surrogate in 2010 and wed in 2014, but unfortunately, they’ve been saddled with breakup rumors throughout much of the time they’ve been together. Prior to their wedding more than three years ago, Gossip Cop frequently busted the National Enquirer for wrongly reporting that the two were calling off their nuptials. This latest tale of marital drama is equally baseless and provably wrong.
