The University of Kansas and the University of Oregon have made it to the fourth round of this year’s March Madness competition, also known as the Elite Eight. They are among the eight remaining teams competing on Saturday and Sunday in hopes of making the Final Four. Tonight’s game is known as the Midwest Regional Final, and is taking place at the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Kansas Jayhawks earned the number one seed among the Midwest Regional teams after finishing the regular 2016-2017 season with a 31-4 record. They started in the round of 64 against the 16th-seeded UC Davis, winning by a whopping 38 points. In the round of 32, the players were victorious with a 20-point lead over Michigan State. And then came a Sweet Sixteen win against Purdue with a 32-point margin.

The Oregon Ducks had a record of 32-5 for the regular season, and were awarded the third seed. The team began the tournament with a match-up against Iona, emerging on top by 16 points. It was a much closer, smaller victory in the second round, where the players defeated Rhode Island by only three points. It was then a one-point win over Michigan that led Oregon to this stage.

Interestingly, Louisville was the number two seed that separated Kansas and Oregon, but the team was knocked out during the second round. Now the two best teams in the Midwest Regional division are set to face off around 8:49 p.m. Eastern. NOTE: The live stream is no longer available.
