Natalie Portman opened her “SNL” monologue by talking about how her episode is the last before NBC covers the Olympics. She then told a few jokes, but they were critiqued by Kenan Thompson, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon as if they were sports commentators at the Olympics. Watch the video below of Portman’s monologue on “Saturday Night Live.”

This is Portman’s second time hosting the comedy sketch series. She made her “SNL” debut in 2006. The actress kicked off her monologue then by saying she had been in 12 movies to date, including three Star Wars films, which prompted a few audience members to ask her very specific questions about the franchise. Hilariously, Portman’s answered with encyclopedic knowledge of Stars Wars.

That was followed by a woman asking Portman about her recently shaved head, which the actress noted was for her movie V For Vendetta. The audience member admitted she thought it was for head lice and added how she now needed to apologize to her daughter. Then a man in the audience said he remembered her from The Professional, which Portman said she filmed when she was just 11. The guy then creepily asked if she still owned any of her wardrobe from that movie and whether he could buy it.

But, of course, Portman’s most memorable bit on that episode of “Saturday Night Live” was a digital short called “Natalie Raps.” In began with Portman being asked in a sit-down interview with Chris Parnell about herself and her career, but it turned into a black-and-white video of the actress angrily rapping about taking drugs and getting drunk, even while driving. The video, which also featured Andy Samberg, had Portman spewing expletives and saying how she cheated her way through Harvard.

Portman’s current appearance on “Saturday Night Live” comes in support of her upcoming sci-fi film, Annihilation, which is slated to hit theaters on February 23. In the movie, the actress plays a biologist who volunteers to go on a top-secret and dangerous expedition in an effort to save her husband’s life. Oscar Isaac, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Gina Rodriguez and Tessa Thompson also star in the movie, based on Jeff VanderMeer’s novel of the same name.

Leading up to her hosting of this week’s “Saturday Night Live,” the Oscar-winner starred in a promo that showed her bathed in neon light and moving in slow motion as she could be heard in voiceover dramatically recounting highlights of her film career, including how she’s “killed,” “died,” “saved worlds,” “conquered,” “fallen in live,” and “decimated evil.” She added ominously how those “were only characters,” but how she would “show the world what I, Natalie Portman, can do.”
