Nat Jackson, the “Jump Rope King,” set a record on Wednesday’s “Little Big Shots: Forever Young.” Watch the video below!

The wellness coach and motivational speaker told host Steve Harvey he started jumping rope at 40 years old and he’s now “only” 73. Asked why he calls himself the fastest jumper roper in America, Jackson explained, “I haven’t found anybody else that’s fast. So I claimed it! I gotta get them out of nursing homes and hospitals to compete… I haven’t found anybody.”

And he has no intention of slowing down. “I’m getting fired up. I’m getting faster. I’m gonna jump until I’m 90, that’s my goal,” he explained, amusingly adding, “As long as I don’t have any artificial hips and lips and legs, I’m gonna jump.” He surprised Harvey with a jump rope for him to try and demonstrated a complex move. After the comedian attempted it, he quipped, “I gotta pee now. When you ain’t jump in a while, you gotta urinate.”

Impressively, while Harvey thought he “lost it,” he did jump fairly well. Clearly out of breath afterward, he joked the show was over. Of course that wasn’t the case. Jackson embarked on setting a speed record for the most jumps in 30 seconds for his age group. On hand was a representative from U.S. Jump Rope, the official governing body for the sport of jump roping, to count his jumps.

When time ran out, it was revealed Jackson did 90 jumps in 30 seconds. As a man over 70, that was a national record. Now he wants to break that record in the future. Watch the video below!
