Miranda Lambert and Gwen Stefani are NOT in a “race to see who can get married first,” despite an absurd tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this claim. We’re told it’s “untrue.”

According to Life & Style, Lambert and Stefani are in competition to be the first one to have a big wedding with their respective partners. A so-called “source” tells the tabloid, “Miranda is determined to beat Gwen to the altar,” while “Gwen feels like she’s in a race with Miranda to see who can get married first.”

The supposed reason why, of course, all boils down to Blake Shelton. “Gwen and Miranda are both determined to outdo their first marriages — and each other,” claims the supposed snitch, who alleges Lambert and boyfriend Anderson East have already “discussed taking their relationship to the next level and for both of them that means one thing: marriage.” As for Stefani, it’s said she’s “pushing her attorneys to do all they can to finalize her divorce from Gavin [Rossdale] as quickly as possible.”

Life & Style goes on to claim that Stefani was “initially hesitant about having another big [wedding] bash, but she actually changed her mind when she discovered Miranda’s plans with Anderson.” The alleged tipster explains, “She wants to outdo Miranda in every way, and that means having the biggest celebrity wedding of the decade.” And the “source” further adds, “Gwen thinks Miranda is behaving like a child, but she can’t help it — she’s playing along with her games.”

It actually seems like it’s the tabloid that’s being childish. This is the second time the outlet has tried to pit the two women against each other, previously claiming last November that they were “at war.” But the gossip rag keeps embarrassing itself by telling false tales, such as the cover story that same month that said Stefani and Shelton were “over already.”

They’re still going strong, but no one — neither Stefani and Shelton nor Lambert and East — is in a “race to the altar.” A rep for Stefani exclusively tells Gossip Cop that this competing weddings report is entirely “untrue.”
