Miranda Lambert gave a surprise performance at Ashley Monroe’s album release party on Wednesday, her first appearance since her divorce from Blake Shelton. Check out the video below!

As Gossip Cop reported, Lambert and Shelton’s split was announced on Monday after four years of marriage. Shelton had filed for divorce earlier this month, and a judge signed off on the paperwork earlier this week. And while Shelton returned to the set of “The Voice” in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Lambert was in Nashville.

She took the stage at a local venue called The Basement, where Monroe was celebrating her new record, The Blade. Lambert and Monroe, of course, are in the girl group Pistol Annies with Angaleena Presley, and have been best friends for years. Together they now sang Lambert’s song 2011 “Heart Like Mine,” which Monroe co-wrote, and Lambert smiled and laughed throughout the performance. Lyrics include “I ain’t the kind you take home to mama/I ain’t the kind to wear no ring,” and “[Jesus] could calm a storm and heal the blind/And I bet He’d understand a heart like mine.”

But while Monroe may be best known for her collaborations with Lambert, the Pistol Annies haven’t released an album since 2013, and she more recently worked with Shelton. They performed “Lonely Tonight,” the second single from the record he released last, at a number of events, such as the 2014 CMA Awards and on “The Voice” last December. The track peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart.

Lambert is slated to have her own concert in Nashville next Tuesday. She announced the one-night-only gig on Twitter just hours before the divorce news broke. She hasn’t tweeted since then, though references to Shelton have been removed from her profile. Watch video of Lambert’s performance with Monroe below.
