Miley Cyrus still "can't be tamed," even by her husband Liam Hemsworth, according to a new report that plays off the title of one of her albums. One of this week's celebrity magazines alleges the singer's friends are concerned she's back to her "troubled ways." Gossip Cop, however, can correct this untrue claim about her being wild again.
According to Star, Cyrus' pals "fear Miley is off the rails again." To back up its premise, a so-called "insider" is quoted as saying, "She's all of a sudden regressed to the vulgar sense of humor and tendency to overshare her life on social media again, everything [Hemsworth] didn't like about her. It's like she hid her wild ways in an effort to get that wedding ring on her finger."
The unnamed and untraceable tipster further asserts, "Liam warned her before that he didn't want to be with someone who cusses and uses her raunchy antics to get attention." The "insider" adds, "It's almost like she's pushing his buttons on purpose. If he expected Miley to turn into a lady, he was wrong."
A few things bear mentioning right off the bat. It's not like Hemsworth is a choir boy who's easily shocked and offended. He's been, for the better part of nine years, with Cyrus and loved her even during her arguably more wild days. If anything, Cyrus is considerably more demure these days.
Her "social media," which is referenced by the unidentifiable "insider" actually contradicts the tabloid's narrative and shows a far more mature woman. For example, Cyrus' latest post on Instagram is a photo of her in a pantsuit performing at a Breast Cancer Research Foundation event. She's also uploaded pictures and videos of her preparing for an appearance on "RuPaul's Drag Race," as well as glamour shots on Instagram of Cyrus and Hemsworth dressed to the nines before the Vanity Fair Oscars party.
And far from him trying to tame her or being offended by her revealing aspects of her life on social media, the most recent Instagram post from Hemsworth is a video he shared of Cyrus. In fact, a scroll through his feed shows various intimate snapshots of his life with her.
Gossip Cop is not entirely surprised by the falsity of the report, based on the outlet's track record. In January, Gossip Cop busted the outlet when it wrongly maintained Cyrus and Hemsworth only got married for tax purposes after their Malibu home was destroyed by the California wildfires. In fact, Cyrus told Vanity Fair for its latest cover story that the trauma of losing their home was the "glue" that drew them closer and inspired their marriage.
We also corrected Star when it untruthfully contended in 2016 that Hemsworth was "stringing" Cyrus along, and refused to define their relationship following their reconciliation earlier that year. Clearly, that wasn't true since they're now married. There's nothing wild or "troubled" by Cyrus' ways these days, though it is troubling that tabloids continue to manufacture drama around the singer, particularly when there is none.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
