Miley Cyrus Saturday Night Live

Miley Cyrus sang “I Would Die For You” on this week’s “Saturday Night Live.” The song is off her new album Younger Now. Earlier, Cyrus performed “Bad Mood” on “SNL.” See the video below of Cyrus singing “I Would Die For You” on “Saturday Night Live.”

Like her earlier performance in the show, this is the very first time Cyrus has sung “I Would Die For You” live on TV. She telegraphed that she was going to do the song in a tweet on Saturday afternoon. Cyrus first wrote, “what do you guys think my second song choice for @nbcsnl is??#mileyonsnl.” That was followed up 45 minutes later with a second message that featured some of the lyrics from “I Would Die For You.”

As Gossip Cop previously noted, Cyrus has been the musical guest and host of “SNL” a handful of times. She made her first appearance on the sketch comedy show back in 2011 as its guest host. She returned two years later to be both the host and musical guest. On that episode, Cyrus blew the roof off of Studio 8H in 30 Rockefeller Plaza when she sang her smash hits, “We Can’t Stop” and “Wrecking Ball.” She came back two years after that to also pull double duty as the host and musical guest.

And while she herself has been impersonated on “Saturday Night Live” on numerous occasions, when Cyrus has been on the late-night program, she’s done a number of impressions as well. Among those Cyrus has parodied are Justin Bieber, Lindsay Lohan, Fergie, Scarlett Johansson, and Hillary Clinton. There was a made-up story a little more than a year ago that Cyrus was going to play Tiffany Trump on “SNL” as a recurring character, because the two bear a passing resemblance, but the singer’s rep exclusively told Gossip Cop there was no truth it it.
