Miley Cyrus lip sync battle Jimmy Fallon

Miley Cyrus and Jimmy Fallon competed in a “Lip Sync Battle” on Friday’s “Tonight Show.” The musical challenge capped off “Miley Week On Fallon.” Watch the video below!

Fallon kicked off the “Lip Sync Battle” by performing Julia Michaels’ “Issues,” using one of the puppets made famous by “America’s Got Talent” winner Darci Lynne Farmer. That was followed by Cyrus doing a rendition of Portugal. The Man’s “Feel It Still,” complete with the singer doing splits. For his second and last tune, Fallon did Hole’s song “Violet.” And for her final song, Cyrus did a lip sync of The Talking Heads’ “Once In A Lifetime” in an oversized coat. Naturally, Cyrus won the “Lip Sync Battle.”

Cyrus has had a week-long residency at “The Tonight Show” since Monday. Each night she’s performed and engaged in hijinks with Fallon. The first episode, however, had a somber tone as it followed the Las Vegas shooting. Cyrus and Adam Sandler opened the late-night show with a moving cover of Dido’s “No Freedom.” The pop star later ended the broadcast with an inspirational rendition of “The Climb.” In between, there was some lightheartedness as Cyrus and Fallon did a “Musical Genre Challenge,” in which they had to turn popular songs like Cardi B’s “Bodak Yellow” into new versions.

On Tuesday, Cyrus was joined by sisters Noah and Brandi, as well as their mom Tish, to compete against the cast of “Riverdale” in a new “Tonight Show” game called “Search Party.” She also performed “Week Without You,” and a hilarious taped segment showed what happened when Fallon and Cyrus photobombed unsuspecting fans. That was followed on Wednesday by Cyrus and Fallon amusingly dressing up as Dolly Parton (her godmother) and Kenny Rogers to sing “Islands in the Stream.” And, during Hillary Clinton’s interview, Cyrus came out to tearfully thank the former presidential candidate. She also sang “These Boots Are Made For Walkin’.'”

Then on Thursday, dad Billy Ray Cyrus came on board to do a Tom Petty tribute with his daughter. Together they performed “Wildflowers.” Cyrus also played charades with Gal Gadot, and appeared in a sketch for a faux Bravo TV show called “No Big Deal.” It all culminated with the “Lip Sync Battle,” one of Fallon’s most popular bits, on Friday night.

As Gossip Cop has reported, Fallon has memorably done fake-singing showdowns with stars like Melissa McCarthy, Seth Rogen, Ellen DeGeneres, Tom Cruise and a slew of other celebrities. The segments became so beloved by viewers, it inspired the aptly-named Spike spinoff, “Lip Sync Battle.” Check out the video below of Cyrus and Fallon’s “Lip Sync Battle” on the “Tonight Show.”
