One of this week's tabloids claims Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth's wedding was filled with "drama," and the singer is also pregnant. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the report. The couple isn't expecting a baby and there was no turmoil at their ceremony.
Cyrus and Hemsworth held a surprise wedding at their Tennessee home two days before Christmas, but according to In Touch, there was tension at the nuptials because the singer's dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, doesn't like her new husband. An alleged insider tells the magazine that the country singer "was not happy to be there," but reluctantly attended anyway. "Some felt her dad rained on what was otherwise a perfect day. At one point, there was even a massive family fight." The outlet doesn't provide any details about what the supposed fight entailed.
From there, the supposed source maintains that Cyrus "is pregnant" and it's the reason why she had a "hush-hush, rush-rush wedding." The questionable tipster adds, "Friends think she's about three months along. They can't wait. She's crazy, but kids love her. She'll be the best mom. And Liam's already a fun uncle, so he'll be a natural too."
Neither aspect of the tabloid's story is remotely true. For starters, Billy Ray shared several Instagram photos from the wedding. One photo shows his daughter hugging her new husband, along with the caption, "Congratulations @mileycyrus and @liamhemsworth! Long live love!" Billy Ray also shared a photo he took of Cyrus cutting the wedding cake, and added, "Wedding wouldn't be complete without one shot from Dads out dated blackberry camera. Love seeing all so happy." The country star also posted an Instagram photo of him and his wife Trish posing with their daughter as she holds a bouquet of flowers.
Billy Ray clearly wouldn't have documented the festivities on social media if he wasn't happy about his daughter marrying Hemsworth. Still, Gossip Cop reached out to a source close to the country star, who confirms that the magazine's premise is complete nonsense.
Gossip Cop can also confirm that Cyrus isn't pregnant. People magazine, a much more reliable celebrity news outlet than In Touch, reported last week that Cyrus and Hemsworth are "not in a rush to start a family." The reliable publication further noted that the newlyweds "are happier than ever, but they're not ready to expand their family just yet." And on Tuesday, Cyrus shared an Instagram photo of herself drinking a bottle of champagne during her New Year's Eve celebration. Based on other recent photos from the singer's social media page, she certainly doesn't appear to be three months pregnant.
It's worth noting, In Touch has already proven to have zero insight into the couple's relationship. In November 2017, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting that Cyrus and Hemsworth got married in Georgia. This latest article is more fiction from the unreliable magazine.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
