Miley Cyrus isn’t secretly pregnant with Liam Hemsworth’s baby, despite a false tabloid rumor. Gossip Cop can the ridiculous story. It’s totally bogus.

Cyrus and Hemsworth got married last December and announced their split in August. Cyrus briefly dated Kaitlynn Carter after the breakup before the two decided to remain friends. In recent weeks, the singer began dating Cody Simpson.

In a so-called “world exclusive reveal,” NW claims Cyrus just learned she’s nearly “three months” pregnant with Hemsworth’s baby. The tabloid’s supposed source says the singer’s recent stint in the hospital wasn’t due to tonsillitis, as she explained on social media, but instead related to her pregnancy. The story makes little sense from the start. It was Cyrus herself who shared the hospital photo. If she was trying to keep the “pregnancy” a secret, why would she make up a story about tonsillitis as opposed to just not posting photos of herself in the hospital?

The questionable source then adds, “They had an open relationship towards the end, so in theory, it could be anyone’s. But Miley has this sheer determination to have Liam linked with her for the rest of his life. She still loves him in a weird way.”

Hemsworth, the tabloid says, would be willing to work through the issues that drove them apart if a baby was in the picture. “He wants to be a dad more than anything — which was, ironically, one of the main reasons they broke up in the first place,” yet another unnamed insider adds. “But those close to Liam aren’t convinced. His mates are begging him to say out of it until the alleged child is born and the DNA results are in his hands.”

Earlier this week – and after NW had published its latest issue – Cyrus hosted an Instagram Live video with Simpson and seemed to comment on Hemsworth in less-than-favorable terms. This included the pop star effectively referring to Simpson as the only good guy she’s dated so far — hardly a plea from a former lover to remain “linked.” Nothing in Cyrus’ statements or social media posts even hint at the desperate connection the tabloid’s source claims exists.

Regardless, Cyrus isn’t pregnant with Hemsworth’s baby or anyone else’s. Just a few short weeks ago, NW was warning readers that Cyrus was on a “deadly divorce diet” and “wasting away” following her split from Hemsworth. The outlet further alleged she was living on a diet of booze and drugs. If that were the case, which it wasn’t, it would be quite a miracle for Cyrus to now be healthy and nearly at the end of her first trimester. In reality, the tabloid just has trouble keeping its incorrect stories consistent.

NW was also responsible for the phony story last month about Cyrus and Carter getting married. The two split very soon after the article was written. The outlet’s insights are consistently wrong. The somewhat mundane nature of Cyrus getting treatment for tonsillitis may be boring to the tabloid, but it’s the only truth here.
