Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are not "on the rocks," despite a new story repeating the debunked claim that they've called off their wedding amid a "shocking split." Gossip Cop can once again set the record straight. The couple is still together, and happily so.
According to the misinformed RadarOnline, Cyrus and Hemsworth's "relationship is on the rocks as she's been staying with her parents." The site claims the pop star "recently moved out of the Malibu mansion that she once shared" with Hemsworth, and is now "spending more and more time at her parents' Billy Ray and Tish's house." A so-called "source" is quoted as saying, "Miley said she needed some space. She and Liam aren't on the best terms."
The site, however, offers no evidence to back these assertions up. It's not even said at which of her parents' homes Cyrus is supposedly staying. Instead, the blog refers back to its article from earlier this month, in which it wrongly alleged Cyrus and Hemsworth have "split for the second time." Quoting from that piece, which Gossip Cop busted, the outlet cites a purported "insider," who contends, "They've been hanging by a thread for months. Now they're as good as broken up and there will be no wedding."
When that tall tale originally came out two weeks ago, Gossip Cop presented evidence that they weren't "broken up" at all. And now there's even more proof that there hasn't been a "split," despite what the website again alleges in this latest piece. For starters, a video circulating on Twitter shows Hemsworth and Cyrus at an airport in Nashville together just last week. Hours after that emerged, Hemsworth himself posted a video in which he jokingly scared Cyrus as they jammed out to music in the car.
Meanwhile, as opposed to being "on the rocks," E! Online has reported Hemsworth and Cyrus are in a "great place," noting, "They have been spending a lot of their time being low-key in Nashville lately, and come home to Malibu often to spend time with family." "Entertainment Tonight" also reports that Cyrus "couldn't be happier" with Hemsworth. It was even revealed that the singer "does want people to know that any speculation that a breakup is about to happen is wrong," and it was further stressed that "they both agree they are in it for the long run."
Additionally, both publications confirm that a wedding isn't "off," but explain that the couple remains in no "rush" to officially tie the knot. On top of all that, Us Weekly also has a report about Cyrus gearing up to release new music, in which it's reported, "She and Liam thought it was half-funny, half-ridiculous that people thought they split."
Conclusion: RadarOnline has claimed twice this month that Cyrus and Hemsworth have split, but there is visual evidence, including some directly from the actor himself, that the couple is still together. And while the site maintains the stars are "on the rocks," that contradicts reporting from multiple trustworthy outlets. In contrast, this blog, which peddled misinformation about Cyrus and Hemsworth fighting over a prenup in 2016, has proven it isn't credible when it comes to the pair.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
