Is Miley Cyrus joining Kaitlynn Carter on season two of The Hills: New Beginnings? That's the phony rumor being reported in one of the tabloids. Gossip Cop looked into the story and we've learned it's completely untrue.
According to Star, Cyrus and Carter are taking their romance to the small screen. An alleged insider tells the outlet that the singer plans on joining the reality star on her MTV show. "Miley has agreed to appear on The Hills with Kaitlynn next season," says the supposed tipster. "She loves stirring the pot, so she was all in."
The anonymous source adds, "Kaitlynn also assured the producers she'll be open about the end of her marriage to Brody [Jenner] and her new relationship with Miley. It's all everyone is talking about." The "insider" then claims that Cyrus is eager to "show off" her relationship with Carter, adding, "She loves all of the attention they're getting!"
Gossip Cop reached out to Cyrus' spokesperson, who tells us in no uncertain terms that she's "absolutely not" joining the cast of The Hills. The article just seems like a lazy excuse to come up with another story about the singer craving attention. In reality, Cyrus' "flaunting" is entirely a reflection of the paparazzi and gossip media's obsession with her latest relationship.
For instance, Cyrus' social media accounts don't contain a single trace of her relationship with Carter. Even the reality star only has a few photos of the two from the beginning of August. If the singer was so excited to "show off" her new romance, why hasn't she posted about it?
It's worth noting, the article also features a brief throwaway line claiming Cyrus was hooking up with Carter while she and Liam Hemsworth were still together. Last month, however, Cyrus shared a lengthy Instagram post about her past mistakes and personal life, making a point of noting that her marriage didn't end "because of cheating." It's clearly Star that enjoys stirring the pot — not Cyrus.
This wouldn't be the first time the tabloid has attempted to capitalize on Cyrus and Hemsworth's divorce. Last month, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for wrongly reporting Hemsworth was dating Isabel Lucas following his split from Cyrus. Hemsworth isn't in a relationship with the Australian actress, who dated his older brother Chris from 2005 to 2008. The unreliable outlet has zero insight into what either Cyrus or Hemsworth has been up to in the wake of their breakup.
Shortly before that, the magazine came up with the ridiculous idea that Cyrus and Hemsworth only wed for tax purposes after their California home burned down. Be it past or present, the magazine has no idea what's going on in the singer's relationships, or her career for that matter. Gossip Cop can confirm that Cyrus won't be appearing on The Hills: New Beginnings.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
