A tabloid report claiming Ashton Kutcher is angry about Mila Kunis supposedly getting "cozy" with Justin Theroux at the premiere of The Spy Who Dump Me is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the claim. Not only does the actress's spokesperson dismiss the story, but there's also plenty of evidence to disprove it.
According to New Idea, Kutcher thought his wife and her co-star got "too close for comfort" while posing on the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of their new movie last month. The unreliable magazine further contends that Kutcher and Kunis got into a huge fight over the situation, which resulted in him storming out of the afterparty. "After Ashton went off in a huff, Mila was once again seen getting close to her handsome co-star," says the tabloid, which speculates there's "trouble in paradise" for the actress and her husband.
This entire narrative is provably false. A YouTube video taken at the film's premiere shows Kunis posing with Theroux on the red carpet, then walking off to give her husband a big high-five and a kiss on the cheek as he waits for her in a roped-off area. Kutcher is later seen chatting with Theroux once he finishes walking the red carpet. This footage alone debunks the tabloid's entire article, but there's additional proof that Kutcher isn't jealous of his wife's co-star. While filming The Spy Who Dumped Me in Budapest last year, Theroux attended a music festival alongside Kunis and her husband.
Additionally, there's nothing to indicate that Kutcher left the premiere early, but even if he had, there would be a good explanation as to why. During an interview with "Extra," Kunis explained that her husband didn't walk the red carpet with her because "he has a cold." She added, "He managed to get a cold in July, so if you see him, don't touch him." In the end, though, Kutcher stayed for the premiere and its after-party.
As for the general state of the couple's marriage, Kunis told E! News just three months ago, "I have the world's greatest husband." She added, "I swear, I got very lucky, man. I got a man that has got a lot of patience and is incredibly supportive of our family." Gossip Cop also checked in with Kunis' rep, who tells us on the record that the article is a complete "lie."
Conclusion: Despite New Idea's claim that Kutcher "stormed off" after seeing his wife with Theroux on the red carpet, a video from the event shows Kunis embracing her husband directly after posing for the cameras. Theroux himself later mingled with Kutcher. Anyone can see with their own eyes that the magazine's account of events never happened. This footage, coupled with all of the additional evidence referenced above, earns the tabloid's story a big fat zero on our fact or fiction meter.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
