Mila Kunis is not giving Ashton Kutcher a "divorce ultimatum," despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the story. We've learned there's no truth to it.
According to Life & Style, the spouses of nearly four years have been having marriage trouble for quite some time and are now at a "crossroads" in their relationship. A supposed source tells the magazine, "Mila has finally given Ashton an ultimatum: Take our marriage seriously, or it's over. She wants Ashton to go to therapy, but he doesn't believe in it. Plus, he doesn't think they have a problem, so he sees no reason for counseling."
The outlet's alleged insider further contends that Kutcher's supposed refusal to fight for his marriage "has become a real problem for Mila. Her married friends and even some of her friends who aren't married are in counseling... There's no stigma about it, but Ashton says he's just not into it or he's just too busy." The questionable tipster goes on to say the actor has suggested getting their vows renewed "to avoid a divorce," but Kunis believes that "would just be putting a Band-Aid on their problems."
The unreliable magazine, however, never really bother to explain what the couple's "problems" entail, other than to allege that the actress has jealousy issues. "They've had fights, she's threatened to leave him and then they take time away from each other," adds the seemingly nonexistent source.
The so-called "insider" adds, "Their issues are always bubbling under the surface. And sweeping them under a rug is not a solution for Mila." The alleged tipster concludes that Kunis is determined to save her marriage, but "she just needs to convince Ashton that there's nothing wrong with getting help."
The tabloid's report is based on claims from an anonymous and untraceable "source," but Gossip Cop reached out to Kunis' spokesperson, who tells us on the record it's untrue. Despite what the outlet's unidentified tipster claims, a rep qualified to speak on the actress's behalf confirms she never issued her husband a "divorce ultimatum." The happy spouses aren't having marriage problems and Kunis isn't insisting they attend therapy.
Just a few weeks ago, Kunis and Kutcher were spotted showing PDA at an Oscars after-party. Shortly after that, Kunis told a funny story on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" about Kutcher botched Valentine's Day gift. There's plenty of evidence showing the couple is going strong, and nothing out there to suggest otherwise.
Last month, Gossip Cop busted Life & Style for publishing a similarly bogus story about Kunis and Kutcher having a "marriage crisis" over their opposite personalities and different outlooks on life. The actress's rep also dismissed that story as "absolutely false." Nothing has changed in the short time since.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
