One of this week's tabloids claims Mila Kunis is warning Ashton Kutcher to "grow up" or she'll divorce him. The story is completely untrue. Gossip Cop can debunk it.
According to the National Enquirer, the actress is accusing her husband of being an inattentive husband and deadbeat dad to their two young kids. An alleged insider tells the magazine, "Mila told Ashton that she signed up to be his wife, not his mommy - and it's time he started acting more like a grown-up."
One of the supposed issues, according to the outlet, is that Kutcher spends more time focusing on work than their family. "Mila is furious because she doesn't get the sense that Ashton has the same passion about family life that he does for business," adds the suspicious tipster. "He's out of the house so often, she's started to feel like a single mom."
Another problem, alleges the "source," is that Kutcher acts like a "perpetual teenager." The questionable tipster doesn't bother to elaborate on the claim, but adds, "Mila doesn't think Ashton is serious enough. She's let him know that he'd better be when she brings her lawyer into it."
The tabloid hides behind an anonymous and untraceable "insider" to sell its phony story. Gossip Cop, however, checked in with Kunis' spokesperson, who tells us on the record that it's all nonsense. The actress's rep, who's qualified to speak on her behalf, assures us she's not threatening to divorce her husband, nor has she ever accused him of being a bad dad and husband. The claim otherwise is completely baseless.
It's worth noting, Kunis described Kutcher as "the world's greatest husband" in an interview with E! News last year, and added, "I got a man that has got a lot of patience and is incredibly supportive of our family." And just last month, Kunis and Kutcher were spotted packing on the PDA at an Oscars after-party.
Meanwhile, the Enquirer has already proven to have zero insight into the couple's marriage. Last year, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Kunis was quitting Hollywood to have a third baby with her husband. The actress is still working and hasn't had another child.
Unfortunately, the gossip media is constantly trying to create nonexistent problems in the couple's marriage. Earlier this month, we called out the Enquirer's sister outlet, Life & Style, for wrongly reporting that Kunis had given Kutcher a "divorce ultimatum" to either attend couple's counseling or she'll end their marriage. That story was also based on claims from an unidentified "source," but the actress's rep dismissed it as fiction. This latest article about the spouses is no more accurate.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
