Miley Cyrus Never Bought A 'Love Nest' With Ex, As Tabloid Claimed Celebrities Miley Cyrus Never Bought A 'Love Nest' With Ex, As Tabloid Claimed

Mila Kunis did not divorce Ashton Kutcher this year because of Demi Moore's book. The tabloids that falsely reported that were wrong. Gossip Cop has named that phony story as our top rumor of the year about the couple.

Back in May, after the announcement that Kutcher's ex-wife, Moore, was writing a tell-all memoir, Star published a story alleging Kunis was "wasting away" amid a divorce with Kutcher. The false story, published months before Moore's book was released, focused on how Kunis was supposedly worried about what Moore might write in her tell-all. The tabloid quoted an anonymous source as saying, "Mila's obsessing over what Demi might divulge. Mila knew Ashton wasn't an angel when she married him, but no wife wants to hear that her husband was a lousy cheat to his ex."

The entire premise was full of holes and time has made those holes look even larger. For starters, at the time, no one knew what would be in Moore's book. Kunis has been married to Kutcher for four years, and they've been friends for more than 20 years. There's no reason to believe she doesn't know exactly who Kutcher is and who she was marrying. She even told Dax Shepard on his podcast, "We went into this relationship super transparent with one another, so we knew 100 percent each other's faults... And we were like, 'I accept you for who you are.'" Nothing about the book changed that.

Moore's book came out in September and while there were some explosive accusations made about Kutcher, his marriage to Kunis is as strong as ever. Kunis was never worried about any revelations the book. The couple still going on weekly dates with each other and during his appearance on the YouTube show Hot Ones, Kutcher jokingly said, "Oh, Mila Kunis, I love you If I don't make it out this, honey, take care of the children." The story was made-up, as Gossip Cop checked with Kunis' rep who told us it wasn't true.

When the book came out, the tabloids once again took the opportunity to publish made-up articles capitalizing on the big names in the story. Gossip Cop debunked a number of stories before and after its release. One story, from Star's sister publication, the National Enquirer, even ran with the exact same premise that Kunis was "starving herself" amid marriage problems. The story wasn't true in May, it wasn't true in July, nor was it true in September. The spouses remain strong today.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
