Mila Kunis is not banning Ashton Kutcher from drinking, nor does the actress believe her husband has a problem with alcohol. That's the false rumor in one of the tabloids this week. Gossip Cop has learned it's bogus.
According to the National Enquirer, Kutcher has been "drowning his sorrows" since the release of ex-wife Demi Moore's tell-all book, in which she reveals secrets about their marriage. An alleged insider tells the outlet the actor has been "chugging beer like a frat boy" and "Mila's disgusted by it."
"Ashton's a dad and there's no excuse for him to pound ten beers while watching football replays on TV in the middle of the week," a supposed source tells the magazine. "Ashton keeps telling her that he's just sipping the brewski to decompress. But Mila's horrified by his self-destructive habit and told him to go out for a run or do something that's healthy instead."
The anonymous tipster goes on to say that Kunis is banning booze from their home, and isn't buying her husband's "pity party." Instead, says the seemingly phony source, Kunis is telling Kutcher to just "get over" the embarrassing allegations in Moore's memoir. The unidentified insider concludes, "She's telling him to quit [drinking] - or else."
Nothing about the tabloid's article is remotely accurate. Although Kutcher wasn't thrilled about Moore's book, the idea that he's drinking over it is absurd. Earlier this month, People magazine noted that the memoir hasn't impacted Kutcher and Kunis' marriage, and both are moving on with their lives and focusing on their family.
Additionally, the Enquirer's story is based on the word of an unknown insider, but Gossip Cop reached out to Kunis' spokesperson, who assures us there's no truth to it. The actress's rep, who's qualified to speak on her behalf, confirms she isn't banning her husband from drinking and doesn't need to do so.
Unfortunately, this wouldn't be the first time the tabloid has capitalized on the controversy surrounding Moore's book. Earlier this month, Gossip Cop busted the outlet for falsely claiming Kunis had dyed her hair blonde to prevent Kutcher from cheating, as the cheating allegations in his ex-wife's book had spooked her. That report was just ludicrous. The actress had actually dyed her hair for a movie role.
This also isn't the first time the magazine has concocted a phony story about the Bad Moms star being fed up with her husband's behavior. Back in March, Gossip Cop called out the publication for alleging Kunis was warning Kutcher to "grow up" or she'd divorce him. The outlet simply has no insight into the happy couple's marriage.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
