A new tabloid report claims Michael Strahan is upset about Alex Rodriguez joining “Good Morning America” as a contributor, but the story is entirely inaccurate. Gossip Cop can expose this attempt to create a nonexistent feud.

It was recently announced that the former MLB player has signed on as an ABC News contributor for such shows as “Nightline, “World News Tonight” and “GMA,” which Strahan co-anchors. A supposed source now tells In Touch that that the former NFL star “loves being the resident jock” on the morning news show and isn’t happy about the fellow athlete invading his territory. The outlet’s dubious insider goes on to claim Strahan feels threatened by Rodriguez because he also suspects the former Yankee “is being groomed to take his job.”

Gossip Cop, however, is assured by a trustworthy source close to the situation there’s simply “no truth” to the magazine’s report. Additionally, we were already told last month that Strahan is excited about working with Rodriguez. As Gossip Cop noted, a mutual friend of ours and the former footballer exclusively told us, “Michael is looking forward to having Alex as part of the ‘GMA’ team. In fact, they have several other projects they are doing together.” As we predicted, the tabloids are arbitrarily trying to manufacture a phony feud between the sports stars.

Unfortunately, this wouldn’t be the first time we’ve had to call out In Touch for publishing fake news about the former NFL player’s involvement on the morning news show. Gossip Cop recently busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting that Strahan was causing issues between the “GMA” anchors. We also busted the publication for falsely claiming Strahan was in a feud with Robin Roberts. This latest article regarding the anchor’s gig is equally bogus.
