Megyn Kelly Today Tickets Audience

Megyn Kelly is not struggling to fill the studio audience for her hour of the “Today” show, despite a completely inaccurate report. The article claims that NBC is having trouble giving away free tickets to the daytime talk show, but there’s no truth to it. Gossip Cop can exclusively set the record straight.

A so-called “source” tells RadarOnline, “Rachel Ray and Kelly [Ripa] and Ryan [Seacrest] have a six month waiting list, and it’s almost impossible to get into Wendy Williams’ and Jimmy Fallon’s audience. Yet at Megyn you can hear crickets.” The outlet’s questionable insider adds, “When you can’t get 150 people to watch the show in the audience at 30 Rock, what chance do they have to get anyone to watch the show from home? This is a disaster. Now it’s getting humiliating.”

The seemingly phony source further claims the network has “been playing with removing seats and even playing with camera angles so that the studio looks much more full than it really is.” But Gossip Cop checked in with a network insider, who exclusively assures us the webloid’s article is entirely fabricated.

For starters, “Megyn Kelly Today” has only been on the air for a little more than a month. Like virtually all new talk shows in their early stages, the program is still finding its footing. It isn’t at all unusual that tickets aren’t as in demand as they are for established shows, such as “The Tonight Show” and “Live with Kelly and Ryan.” Regardless, the webloid’s assertion that the show can’t fill its studio is simply false.

Unfortunately, this wouldn’t be the first time we’ve had to call out RadarOnline for publishing a phony story surrounding the former Fox News host’s new talk show. Gossip Cop recently busted the site for falsely claiming NBC nixed an “SNL” sketch about “Megyn Kelly Today.” There was no truth to that story and this latest one is equally bogus.
