Meghan Markle is not using Prince Harry to “boost” her Hollywood career, despite a made-up report. Gossip Cop can reveal the truth. We’re told it’s 100 percent “false.”

According to the often disproven Celeb Dirty Laundry, which routinely posts inaccurate stories about Markle’s relationship with Prince Harry, the “Suits” actress is now a “household name” thanks to her royal romance, and her show has “never seen better ratings.” Without any basis or truth, the site wrongly speculates that Markle “knew Prince Harry would never propose,” and is instead using her heightened publicity to “boost” her career.

To bolster its premise, the bad blog goes on to contend that the actress “might not even want to get married at all,” as her potential engagement to the royal could leave her acting career in jeopardy. The website adds, “[Markle] won’t be able to continue working in the entertainment industry” as a member of the royal family. But if Prince Harry does propose, Markle will be “forced” to choose between “having a career or being a princess,” which could mean throwing away “future Hollywood opportunities,” further purports the outlet.

Let Gossip Cop set the record straight on this latest piece of fake news. Despite the number of times we have busted the site for seemingly concocting stories about the couple, we still checked in with a trustworthy source close to the actress who assures us the report is “false.” The entire article is simply bogus, fabricated by a website which has no insight into their private relationship, and never will.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Gossip Cop has called out the site for posting a ludicrous tale about the couple. In July, we corrected the outlet for wrongly claiming that Prince Harry was cheating on Markle with a mystery blonde. Much like that phony article, this latest report is equally unfounded.
