Meghan Markle Pregnant In Touch

(In Touch)

Meghan Markle is not pregnant following her engagement to Prince Harry, despite a tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust this report. As we already reported on Monday, Markle is not expecting a baby.

But the new cover of In Touch is falsely announcing, “Palace Bombshell: Meghan Pregnant! It’s Why They Got Engaged.” It’s apparent, however, right from the front of the issue that this is all a fabrication. The gossip magazine features a photo of Markle with the caption, “Meghan breaks the news!” There’s also an arrow pointing to the picture with the teaser, “Inside their engagement party.” The snapshot, which showcases the actress with her “Suits” co-stars Gina Torres and Sarah Rafferty, is actually from the 2012 Toronto Film Festival. The publication is deceptively trying to trick readers into thinking it has to do with celebrating a pregnancy at an engagement party, but that’s 100 percent not true.

It’s also 100 percent not true when the publication contends inside the edition, “Prince Harry and Meghan Markle thrill the world with an engagement, but they have an even bigger surprise: A baby’s on the way.” After acknowledging that Prince Harry said this week they want to start a family in the “near future,” the tabloid asserts it’s actually “nearer than anyone realizes.” A so-called “source” is quoted as alleging, “Meghan is pregnant… They didn’t expect it to happen so soon.”

In fact, the magazine asserts, “Meghan’s pregnancy is the reason the couple have fast-tracked their nuptials.” “[She] would rather tie the knot while she has a small bump. She doesn’t want to be seen as ‘the pregnant bride,'” contends the tabloid’s supposed snitch. The outlet apparently fails to realize that even if Markle were just weeks into a pregnancy now, she’d be six months pregnant at her May wedding, making it extremely unlikely she would have only a “small bump.” But to lend credence to its allegations, the publication goes on to maintain Markle “did everything she could to mask her growing bump” when she and Prince Harry posed for photos after announcing their engagement.

“Meghan wore very high heels and bare legs in order to try to distract from her tummy,” claims the specious “source,” as if Kate Middleton doesn’t wear heels and skirts all the time, regardless of her pregnancy. It’s even ridiculously alleged that Markle recently having a facial to relax is proof she’s expecting because “you can’t have a massage in the first three months of pregnancy.” Apparently it’s not possible the star just wanted a facial.

Regardless, Markle is not pregnant, and she and Prince Harry did not get engaged because there’s currently a “baby on the way.” As Gossip Cop already reported on Monday when others speculated the bride-to-be had a “bump,” an impeccable Markle contact exclusively told us she is “most certainly not expecting.” That hasn’t changed in two days. And just like Gossip Cop rightly noted how the couple’s engagement would not be broken by the tabloids, the gossip media also won’t be the first to announce Markle is pregnant when it really happens.
