A new report claiming Meghan Markle is "nervous about royal life" but "believes her love for Prince Harry is worth it" is entirely made-up. Gossip Cop is told no one legitimately close to the one-time actress is leaking information about her to an untrustworthy gossip site. We're also assured she's excited about her new role.
According to HollywoodLife, Markle is "nervous" about joining the British royal family. The site quotes a so-called "palace insider" as saying, "Meghan is definitely nervous about living her whole life in the spotlight. She's already used to it... being an actress, but being a royal takes it to a whole new level." The outlet's seemingly manufactured "source" continues, "Not only is she moving to another country, and getting married, she's doing it all while under the gaze of the world's media."
The supposed "insider" further asserts the former "Suits" star can "rely" on Prince Harry for support. "Harry has vowed to protect her... but it's still daunting, and she's aware that her life, as she knows it, is over forever," says the website's questionable tipster before adding, "She's crazy in love with Harry and she believes that what she has to give up is worth it for what she will gain."
Well, of course, she believes Prince Harry is "worth it" because she accepted his marriage proposal. And obviously she's "nervous," like most brides are, and particularly since her life will drastically change as a member of the royal family when she and Prince Harry wed in May. But, as Gossip Cop has repeatedly noted, just because a report has elements of credibility, it doesn't mean it's authentic. What the aptly nicknamed HollywoodLies is claiming could have been said just as easily by a guy sitting in a bar. We have been assured on many occasions that no one from Markle's trusted inner circle, which has now gotten smaller, is talking to to that outlet about her innermost feelings.
And while Markle may be feeling nervous about becoming a royal and getting married in general, she's certainly handling it with poise and grace. Last week, Markle made her first official royal appearance with Prince Harry as they were greeted by hundreds of excited fans along the streets of Nottingham. By all accounts, the actress, who has walked many red carpets, appeared at ease.
Furthermore, while this tale is all about Markle supposedly being stressed over leaving her old life behind, she actually said in her engagement interview with Prince Harry, "I don't see it as giving anything up. I just see it as a change... It's a new chapter." That goes directly against the claims in this clearly fictional story.
This isn't the first time Gossip Cop has busted HollywoodLife for pushing an untrue story about Markle. For example, we corrected the often unreliable outlet in April when it falsely claimed Markle was pregnant with Prince Harry's "royal baby." Much like that fabrication, this latest article about Markle is also made-up.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
