Meghan Markle did NOT move in with Prince Harry, despite a tabloid cover story. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the report.
The new cover of OK! blares, "Meghan Moves In!" The front of the issue even teases "exclusive pics" and "inside their cozy home" with an arrow pointing to a picture of Markle in what appears to be a kitchen. But this is a deception designed to mislead readers into thinking it's a photo from inside Prince Harry's home. It is NOT.
Still, the magazine announces inside the issue, "Palace sources report that Prince Harry's love Meghan Markle is moving into his cottage on the royals' property, as the pair prepare to join their lives." According to the article, "the secretly engaged pair are making plans to live together in Harry's residence on the grounds of Kensington Palace!" But this is another deception: Prince Harry and Markle are NOT engaged. Gossip Cop busted OK! for a false engagement cover story just last month.
Nevertheless, a so-called "insider" is quoted as telling the publication, "He asked her to move in when she was visiting him in London a couple of weeks ago. Meghan is thrilled. She's hoping to get settled as soon as possible." Prince Harry was supposedly "nervous" to tell his father, Prince Charles, and grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, of the arrangement, but allegedly received their blessings.
"Charles laughed and said it was 'better to move in with the right girl than marry the wrong one,'" the outlet's dubious source claims. The alleged tipster adds that Markle has "already begun joking with Harry about how she can't wait to give their new home a woman's touch." But while the actress could possibly end up living at Kensington Palace one day, such a dynamic is NOT happening now.
"It's not right," a palace contact exclusively tells Gossip Cop about the OK! cover story's claims. Another contact we spoke with confirms that although she has spent time at Prince Harry's residence, Markle is not officially living there, and such allegations at this point are "silly." As it often does, the tabloid is once again jumping the gun.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
