A story claiming Meghan Markle has "cold feet about marrying Prince Harry" is fake news. Gossip Cop can reveal the truth.
According to RadarOnline, Markle is "moments away from announcing" an engagement, but she's "getting cold feet fast!" The site claims the actress is having second thoughts because "Tyler Perry and Lee Daniels have pitched Markle a string of leading lady scripts that will turn her into an A-list superstar." A so-called "insider" describes Markle as feeling "unsettled" over whether to pursue a royal life or stick with a career in Hollywood.
"Meghan knows there's no going back once the engagement's announced so to have these incredible scripts land on her plate has really upset the apple cart," the supposed source contends to the webloid. But that's not the only issue. The outlet's alleged tipster further maintains Markle is "very intimidated by Harry's world and the responsibility she'll have." The purported "insider" adds to the publication that the "Suits" star is "incredibly torn" over how to proceed.
Actually, it's more like RadarOnline is torn from reality with its tall tales about the couple. Gossip Cop busted the site just days ago when it embarrassingly claimed Markle was "banned" from Pippa Middleton's wedding, even though she actually attended. The webloid has also run nonsense about Markle being "cozy" with a bodyguard and "caught in a Nazi and Satanism scandal." There was also a questionable piece about Markle renovating Kensington Palace.
But now, at least based on this latest story, she may not be moving forward with the relationship at all? At the very least, the outlet's "reporting" is inconsistent and, in several cases, flat-out wrong. It's also telling that none of the trade publications have reported about Perry and Daniels pursuing Markle for leading roles. A skeptic might say RadarOnline is the only place with such a scoop because it was made up.
It is similarly made up that an engagement announcement is "moments away." Markle's relationship with Prince Harry is certainly progressing, but not at the pace the gossip media would have readers to believe. There's no marriage on the immediate horizon, Gossip Cop is told, so there's no reason for the actress to have "cold feet." It's simply fake news.
Gossip Cop believes there to be elements of truth, but the story is ultimately misleading.
