Megan Rose helped Miley Cyrus make history on season 13 of “The Voice,” as seen on Tuesday’s show. Check out the video below!

Cyrus is back in her second season as a coach on the NBC music competition. During the Blind Auditions, she’s said a few times that she’d like to make “herstory” by having the first all-female team. And with one spot left in her squad, the pop star hoped Rose was the missing piece. Before taking the stage, the aspiring star revealed she’s “grown up on country music,” an interest she picked up from her dad, who is a musician himself. He’s had MS since before she was born, and has sadly lost the ability to play instruments.

“To get a chair turn would be such a huge opportunity,” Rose said. “I know the teams are getting really full, so I just hope that while I’m up there, I can touch the ear of at least one of the coaches with my voice and just make my dad proud.” Cyrus seemed to think carefully before turning around, and as soon as she did, Adam Levine pushed his button, too.

And when Rose was finished singing, she burst into tears as Cyrus left her seat and started begging her to join her team. Not to be outdone, Levine offered the aspiring star his actual seat. But Cyrus told her, “I am on the verge of making herstory on ‘The Voice.’ I’m gonna have the first-ever all-female team.” Levine countered that by joining an all-female team, Rose would have “11 other girls to compete with and I hate watching girl-on-girl crying.” He then called the idea of only women on a team “nifty,” prompting Cyrus to shoot back, “It’s not nifty. It’s powerful.”

Still, Levine, argued, “We’re talking about music here. Your decision here should be based on who you think would be a better coach.” But Cyrus had fellow coach Jennifer Hudson in her corner, as she said it would be “so powerful and moving to see an all-female team.” Cyrus then told Rose, “I did not come here to have an all-female team. I just follow the yellow brick road and I go to Oz and it all makes sense to me… I’m Dorothy, you’re Toto. Get in the basket.”

Rose obliged, and history/herstory was made. “Megan, you are a part of something so much bigger,” Cyrus told her. Watch the video below!
