McDonald’s was seemingly hacked on Twitter on Thursday, with a hate tweet sent to Donald Trump. See screengrab below.

Shortly after 8 a.m. this morning, a tweet was sent from the fast food chain’s verified account to the president. It said, “@realDonaldTrump You are actually a disgusting excuse of a President and we would love to have @BarackObama back, also you have tiny hands.”

The “tiny hands” dig is a reference to Trump’s repeated insistence over the years that his hands are, in fact, not tiny. The questionable tweet was apparently pinned to the top of McDonald’s Twitter feed. It stayed online for more than an hour before being deleted around 9:30 a.m.

Before and after, the McDonald’s account interacted with fans and customers, as it normally does. No apology or explanation has been tweeted, and the corporation has not commented. While it seems likely the page was briefly hacked, there’s always the possibility that a staffer boldly went too far or mistakenly used the restaurant’s account instead of his or her personal one.

Trump is actually a big fan of McDonald’s (see photo above), and has not responded to the attack. But others sure have. Many on Twitter have reacted with jokes and memes, while Seth Meyers tweeted, “Clown on clown crime #McDonalds.” Andy Lassner also cracked, “Fact: If Trump now calls for a McDonald’s boycott, 92% of his supporters will starve to death.”

See a screengrab of the inflammatory tweet below. UPDATE: McDonald’s says in a new tweet, “Twitter notified us that our account was compromised. We deleted the tweet, secured our account and are now investigating this.”
