It’s Martin Luther, Jr. King Day, and stars are taking to social media to pay tribute to the civil rights pioneer, who changed the face of race relations in America. Celebrities are reflecting on Dr. King’s legacy, while also addressing some of the racial conflicts that have unfolded over the last year. See tweets below.

“MLK’s voice echoes in the minds of all, it is a call to ask ourselves: Am I doing all I can to help my fellow human beings?” tweeted Forest Whitaker. Sarah Michelle Gellar wrote, “Today in America we celebrate #MLKDay. It seems more important than ever, we remember and honor his work #MartinLutherKingDay.” Stacey Dash, who said, “We honor him today,” shared video of King’s “I Have A Dream Speech,” and wrote, “I fear many have missed the point.” Olivia Wilde posted the footage, too, saying, “Happy MLK Jr. Day my friends. Well worth watching his entire I Have A Dream speech.”

Kevin Hart said of King, “The true definition of a ‘Dream Chaser’ #MLK #GoneButNeverForgotten.” Basketball legend Walt Frazier wrote, “Today reflect on what #MartinLutherKingDay means. Let’s all do our part to keep his dream alive.” Justin Bieber tweeted, “Have a great day and remember his wisdom :) #MLKDay.” And Andy Cohen quoted King, tweeting, “The reason I can’t follow the old eye-for-an-eye philosophy is that it ends up leaving everyone blind.”

“Let today be a day of inspiration to get on the right track,” said Elisabeth Rohm. Niecy Nash posted a photo of King’s historic march in Selma, along with the cast of Selma doing their own version on Sunday. “We are the keepers of the dream. #Selma #MLKDay #selma50,” she wrote. Mike Epps commented, “Today is a great day to go out & see @SelmaMovie if you haven’t already. #MLKDay.”

Cedric the Entertainer posted on Instagram, “Honor the Legacy of his Dream!! #MLKday. He had the Courage to Lead when a Win wasn’t promised. Decide to be More, Decide to be Great!! Give God the Glory!” Taraji P. Henson shared a collage of King photos, writing, “Thank you Dr. King and King family for your sacrifice! I wouldn’t be where I am today if it were not for your voice, passion and love for the people! Thank you and forever REST IN PEACE!” “Happy #MartinLutherKingDay remembering a man who bettered the world against so many odds,” tweeted Alexander Ludwig.

“How are you honoring Dr. King’s spirit? I’m proud to support #FergusonRelief today, alongside local business owners,” said Nick Cannon. Tony Goldwyn tweeted, “#MLKDay Peace, compassion and consciousness. #walkthewalk.” “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kandi Burress reflected, “I’m so thankful for Dr. King & all the sacrifices he made to make the world a better place.” Lucy Hale told followers, “Happy Martin Luther King Day,” and shared one of her “absolute favorite quotes,” which is King saying, “I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.”

Zoe Saldana also quoted King, tweeting, “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere. #MLKDay2015.” Kelly Rowland wrote, “Today we honor Dr. King and the hope and kindness he inspired. What are you doing for others today?” “His legacy is something that has impacted all of our lives in so many ways,” remarked Jennifer Hudson.
