Maroon 5 Today Show Video

Maroon 5 performed “What Lovers Do” on the “Today” show on Thursday. Adam Levine also spoke about his daughter and goofed off with Carson Daly. Check out the video below!

Maroon 5’s performance comes just one day before the release of its sixth studio album, Red Pill Blues. “What Lovers Do” is the lead single, and debuted at the end of August as a collaboration with Sza. The record follows 2014’s V, and the group is already planning to hit the road to support it. The “Red Pill Blues Tour,” which was announced last week, will kick off next May, right after Levine finishes season 14 of “The Voice.”

Speaking of “The Voice,” Levine’s time at the morning show’s Rockefeller Plaza studio was a reunion of sorts as he got to hang out with Daly, who is one of the “Today” co-hosts when he’s not busy emceeing “The Voice.” The cameras caught Levine amusingly running up to his colleague as Daly was trying to fulfill his duties. And though he wasn’t there, Blake Shelton was also a victim of Levine’s hijinks, as the rocker jokingly flashed a card to the camera that read, “Blake Shelton Sucks At Life And Music.” As Gossip Cop reported, Shelton actually had a surprise “Today” show concert on Tuesday.

But now it was Levine’s turn in the spotlight. The star, who is expecting his second child with wife Behati Prinsloo, was asked about his daughter, Dusty Rose, who turned 1 in September. He hilariously revealed she already has a boyfriend, and announced with mock seriousness, “His name’s Hugo. And I want you to know, Hugo, I got my eyes on you.” Between parenthood, Maroon 5 and “The Voice,” Levine is quite the busy man. Fans can likely expect a performance when “The Voice” goes live for season 13 in a few weeks, along with more silliness featuring Daly and Shelton. In the meantime, watch the “What Lovers Do” video from the “Today” show below! NOTE: The video is no longer available.
