Is Mark Wahlberg’s alleged “primping” driving his model wife, Rhea Durham, crazy? That’s the claim in one of this week’s tabloids. Gossip Cop, however, has learned the tale about Wahlberg constantly working on his body shape and hair is completely made-up.

According to the new issue of OK!, “Durham may be a former Victoria’s Secret model, but these days her hubby is easily the more high maintenance of the two.” Alongside photos of the couple on a beach, a so-called “source” tells the magazine that Wahlberg is “obsessed with keeping his body in tip-top shape and his constant peacocking is getting on Rhea’s… nerves.” The outlet’s alleged “insider” contends, “Between waxing his chest, doing his hair and flexing in the mirror, he spends more time in the bathroom than she does.” The supposed “sources” adds, “Mark always asks Rhea to join him [working out], but she has to remind him that she has a busy schedule raising their four kids.”

Allow Gossip Cop to first get out of the way that the story is 100 percent untrue. And who exactly is the magazine’s source who’s watching Wahlberg in the bathroom? Is it Mr. Clean or the Ty-D-Bol man?

Here’s what’s really going on: As we reported about a week ago, Wahlberg and Durham recently vacationed in Barbados, where he was photographed looking in great shape. Now, the tabloid magically has a “source” claiming he spends all his time “primping” to look that way, and it’s annoying his wife. Regardless, Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Wahlberg who laughed off the tale and assured us it’s all made-up.

The tabloid’s sister publication, Star, last week used the same photos of Wahlberg and Durham on the beach to instead body shame the former model and float, because of an unflattering angle, that she may be pregnant with the couple’s fifth child. Of course, it was all fabricated. Now, however, Wahlberg being fit has led to an unequally inaccurate story about his alleged “primping” driving his wife nuts.

OK! seems to have a thing for using Wahlberg’s physique as a focal point for concocted-up articles. Last year, for example, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming Wahlberg teased Mel Gibson about his weight and offered to be his Daddy’s Home 2 co-star’s personal trainer. That story was entirely wrong, and so is the latest one.
