Is Mark Wahlberg really begging his wife Rhea Durham for another baby? A new tabloid report claims the actor wants a fifth child, but Gossip Cop can exclusively set the record straight. We’re told it’s “not true.”

According to Star, an alleged “friend” of Wahlberg and Durham suspects the couple “will soon be welcoming their fifth member” into the family. The so-called “source” is quoted as telling the gossip magazine, “Mark misses having a baby in the house, and he told Rhea all he wanted for Christmas was another child. He’s even got the kids begging her for a sibling!”

The publication’s questionable tipster goes on to assert that mom of four Durham has been “feeling a little lonesome with all the kids in school.” Wahlberg and Durham’s children span in age from 14-year-old Ella to 8-year-old Grace. In between, they have sons Michael (11) and Brendan (9). “At the end of the day, another little one to look after would be a blessing in both their eyes,” adds the supposed insider.

Gossip Cop looked into the claim, and the actor’s camp tells us the report is 100 percent “not true.” While Wahlberg said back in 2010 that he didn’t want to rule out a fifth child, he noted even eight years ago that his wife wasn’t on the same page. In an interview on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the actor explained, “My wife has always wanted four, two boys and two girls, so miraculously she got everything she wanted. She’s saying she’s done.” Of course, they’re currently still a family of six.

The genesis for the story were photos of Wahlberg and Durham on the beach in Barbados over the festive season. In the magazine’s bogus report, the tabloid purposely used an image of Durham taken from an unflattering angle, which made it look like she’s expecting another child with the actor. Not only is the outlet manufacturing a tall tale about the couple and their family, but it’s also unfairly body shaming Durham. The entire article is nothing more than a fabrication, and coming from the same tabloid that previously claimed in 2012 that the couple were expecting a fifth baby, we’re hardly surprised.
