Mark Sutton, Olympic “James Bond” Stuntman, Dead in Wing Suit Accident

Mark Sutton, the stuntman who parachuted into the London Summer Olympics opening ceremony last year as “James Bond,” has been killed in an accident near Trient in the Swiss Alps.

According to police, Sutton jumped from a helicopter at 10,800 feet in a special wing suit along with other stuntmen, but crashed into a mountain and fell to his death.

He was 42.

The eyes of the world were on Sutton in July 2012 when he stood in for Daniel Craig during a helicopter leap into the Olympic stadium alongside “Queen Elizabeth” (see video below).
