A new tabloid report alleges Mariah Carey refuses to let Bryan Tanaka see her without makeup or clothes on, but the entire story is inaccurate. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s “false.”

The ridiculous and untrue allegation comes from Star, which blares in a new headline, “Mariah & Bryan’s Blind Date!” According to the magazine, Carey, having allegedly gained “60 pounds” over the summer, has gone to “great lengths” to keep the backup dancer from seeing her without a full face of makeup or clothes on. In the outlet’s article, a so-called “source” is quoted as saying, “Bryan has told Mariah that he loves her no matter what she weighs, but Mimi still won’t let him see her without clothes on.”

What’s more, the tabloid’s alleged “insider” further purports, “Mariah even had new mirrors and soft lighting installed in her bedroom to make her look thinner,” adding, “In her mind, it’s a lot easier to renovate a home than her physique.”

But Gossip Cop looked into the publication’s latest claim, and a rep for Carey assures us the report is “false” and “tabloid ridiculous.” Regardless of what the outlet has published in its latest issue, the star does not refuse to let Tanaka see her without clothes on or a full face of makeup. The article is simply a fabrication, and it’s not to be believed.

Of course, this isn’t the first time Star has seemingly fabricated an entirely bogus and made-up story about the singer. In May, Gossip Cop called out the magazine when it falsely alleged Carey was making outrageous demands to be involved in “The X Factor UK.” And in 2016, we corrected the tabloid for wrongly claiming Carey was “driving away” ex-fiance James Packer with wedding demands. Much like those baseless stories, this latest one is equally phony.
