Mariah Carey’s ex-boyfriend Bryan Tanaka is not writing a tell-all book about her as “revenge” for being dumped, despite a new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told it’s not happening.

According to Life & Style, following Carey breaking it off with Tanaka, he feels “hurt and wants revenge, and he’s getting it by writing a tell-all book.” And to set up why someone might want to read a book written by a brief fling, who was her backup dancer, the tabloid has a so-called “insider” try to sell it all by saying, “Before things ever got intimate, Bryan worked for Mariah and had been her confidante for more than 10 years, so he knows all of her darkest secrets and insecurities.” “This is her worst nightmare,” adds the same seemingly manufactured source.

Before Gossip Cop gets to what’s the magazine’s and Tanaka’s “worst nightmare,” we’ll indulge the publication a tiny bit more. The outlet alleges that despite her sex symbol persona, Carey “couldn’t care less about sex,” and is “obsessed” with displaying her ample cleavage. The tabloid further teases that Tanaka’s book will reveal how she’s “jealous” of Adele and Jennifer Lopez and will offer “dirt on all” her exes, including recent fiance James Packer.

After boasting how it reported that Carey dumped Tanaka because he was poor, a fallacy Gossip Cop already debunked, the publication’s alleged “source” ominously warns, “He’s not holding anything back.” “The book will definitely make headlines, but not the kind Mariah wants,” contends the tabloid’s nameless and possibly made-up insider. The same specious source offers, “A book could make millions, and he feels he has nothing to lose.”

So, when will this shocking tell-all about Carey be released? The tabloid doesn’t mention it. Thankfully, Gossip Cop has the best entertainment reporters, and we’ve exclusively learned the book will come out in about three weeks from… never. After reaching out to a number of sources connected to Tanaka, not one could confirm the publication’s claim. Surely, if Tanaka has no problem getting “revenge” in a book, why wouldn’t he have personally given the magazine some tidbits to help sell it, right?

Regardless of the tabloid’s claim and untraceable “sources,” there will never be a Tanaka book, even if he briefly entertained the idea. Getting back to the whole idea of a “worst nightmare,” Carey’s rep exclusively assures Gossip Cop that Tanaka signed a non-disclosure agreement and is barred from blabbing. And if he even tried, he’d be sued in the millions. Hopefully, this shuts the book on this latest untrue tale involving Carey.
