Is Margot Robbie pregnant with her first child? One of this week's tabloids claims the actress is expecting a baby with husband Tom Ackerley. Gossip Cop can debunk the false rumor.
Earlier this month, Ackerley was spotted wrapping his arms around his wife and placing his hands on her stomach on a golf course in Los Angeles. According to OK! Australia, "the protective gesture" means the actress must be expecting. Robbie plays a pregnant Sharon Tate in her upcoming movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and according to the magazine's supposed source, "She's been overheard joking that she won't need to wear a prosthetic bump." The outlet's story is inaccurate from the very start, as Robbie was spotted with a fake baby bump while shooting scenes for the film more than a month ago.
The outlet's alleged insider goes on to say that Robbie and Ackerley won't be sharing the supposed baby news anytime soon. "They're both very excited but they're also fiercely private, so they'll make the announcement once they feel ready," says the questionable tipster. To back up its premise, the unreliable publication claims the actress has "cleared her filming schedule for the months ahead." This is provably untrue.
Robbie's upcoming Suicide Squad spinoff, Birds of Prey, starts filming in January 2019. The actress is gearing up to shoot a major action movie in a little over a month, so the idea that she's in the early stages of pregnancy simply doesn't make sense. Meanwhile, it was reported last month that Robbie is attached to star in the Barbie movie, which is slated for a May 2020 release. That film is expected to begin production shortly after Birds of Prey wraps, and it's safe to say the actress isn't playing a pregnant Barbie. The actress also has several other projects lined up, including a direct sequel to Suicide Squad and an action movie focused on Robin Hood's love interest Maid Marian.
Robbie has opened up in the past about her desire to have a large family and raise the children in her native country of Australia, but that's not in the pipeline just yet. It's clear the actress is focusing on her career at the moment. It's also worth noting, Gossip Cop busted RadarOnline in July for falsely claiming that Robbie was pregnant with her first child. The claim wasn't true then and it's no more accurate now.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
