A tabloid claims Margot Robbie and her husband Tom Ackerley went on a "babymoon" to celebrate the actress's supposed pregnancy. Gossip Cop can debunk the phony story. The actress isn't expecting a child at this time.
According to Woman's Day, the actress and her husband recently spent more than $150,000 renting a private island in the Bahamas because they've learned she's "pregnant with her first child." A supposed source tells the magazine, "It was a babymoon and possibly the last break they'll get to take as a twosome."
The alleged insider adds, "They agreed to start trying for a baby after their second wedding anniversary in December and were surprised it happened so quickly - but elated too!" The questionable tipster goes on to say the couple has "only told a few close friends, but it won't be long before she starts to show and makes the big announcement."
The tabloid's report simply isn't true. Back in November, Robbie said in an interview with Porter magazine that she's not having kids anytime soon. "No! Definitely not," said the actress when asked about the possibility of having a baby in the near future. The actress went on to explain that she and her husband have trouble taking care of their two dogs, adding, "I can't cope with two puppies, let alone children!" Robbie noted that she envisions herself having a large family at some point down the line, "but definitely not at the moment. That's 100 percent certain."
Just a few months ago, Robbie said in an interview she's sick of people asking when she's going to have a baby. "I got married, and the first question in almost every interview is, 'Babies? When are you having one?'" noted the actress. "I'm so angry that there's this social contract. You're married, now have a baby. Don't presume. I'll do what I'm going to do."
It's also worth noting, Robbie has several films lined up over the next few years, including a live-action Barbie movie, a Suicide Squad sequel and the WWII thriller Ruin. It would appear the actress is more focused on her career than starting a family for the time being. Meanwhile, Woman's Day has already proven to have zero insight into the actress's personal life.
Last year, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for falsely claiming Robbie's husband had walked out on her because he couldn't handle her fame. The happy spouses are still going strong. And it's preposterous that the outlet would state the actress told a "few close friends" she's expecting, and they would in turn blab to an often discredited magazine.
Additionally, Gossip Cop called out OK! Australia back in November for wrongly reporting that Robbie was pregnant with her first child. As the actress herself made clear, she'll have a baby on her own time. Unfortunately, the gossip media seems intent on rushing the process.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
