Margot Robbie is not pregnant, despite a report falsely claiming the actress is expecting her first child with husband Tom Ackerley. Gossip Cop can correct the story. There's concrete evidence to debunk it.
Robbie is set to play late actress Sharon Tate in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming Manson Family-themed movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Tate was nearly nine months pregnant when she was murdered by followers of the cult leader, and according to RadarOnline, Robbie is pregnant in real life as well.
A so-called "source on the Hollywood set" of the movie tells the blog that Robbie was "overheard joking that she won't need to wear a prosthetic bump." This same alleged insider says the actress and her husband are "both very excited but they're also fiercely private, so they'll make the announcement once they feel ready." So, a random crew member who "overheard" Robbie saying she's pregnant somehow also knows why she and her husband haven't announced the news?
The more believable reason there's been no baby announcement is because there's no baby. Earlier this week, Robbie was photographed surfing while on vacation with her husband in Costa Rica. One of the photos even shows the actress lying flat on her stomach while riding the board. Doctors have cautioned women not to surf while pregnant because falling in the water can cause trauma to the abdomen. In fact, pro surfer Bethany Hamilton was criticized by a doctor after photos of her hitting the waves while pregnant emerged. Hamilton is a professional whose life revolves around surfing, and she was still advised against it. It's highly unlikely Robbie would be engaging in the potentially-dangerous activity while carrying her first child.
Even more unlikely is that she'd be drinking alcohol while pregnant, but in photos from her Costa Rican vacation, the actress can be seen enjoying a round of drinks with friends. TMZ even noted that following her surf session, the actress "headed into shore for happy hour" and "gave a solid 'cheers'" to her pals. Meanwhile, a Daily Mail article about the actress's trip says Robbie "enjoyed cocktails on the sand with Tom and some friends."
Additionally, the website's "source" is said to be someone on the set of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but it's not clear whether or not Robbie has actually started shooting her scenes yet. Unlike co-stars Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio, the actress hasn't been photographed on the Los Angeles set of the movie. It should also be mentioned, Sharon Tate was brutally stabbed to death while pregnant. If such a scene plays out in the film, it's doubtful Robbie would participate while expecting a real child. Gossip Cop has checked in with a rep for the actress, but all evidence would indicate she's not pregnant.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
