A new report claiming Margot Robbie's husband Tom Ackerley fears Leonardo DiCaprio "is out to steal his wife" is completely false. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk this claim. We're told it's total nonsense.

Robbie and DiCaprio, who played a married couple in 2012's The Wolf of Wall Street, are expected to team up again for Quentin Tarantino's new movie, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. According to New Idea, the reunion is causing major tensions between the actress and her husband, who's supposedly very jealous of the movie star.

A so-called "source" tells the magazine that Ackerley "is particularly wary of Leo given he's such a ladies' man and knowing his reputation." As the story goes, Robbie is begging her husband "to understand that work has to come first and she will always remain professional at all times," but the assistant director is "convinced Leo is out to steal his wife."

But Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to the situation, who tells us on the condition of anonymity that the outlet's article is fabricated. In fact, Robbie has debunked past rumors about her and DiCaprio having any sort of romantic connection. "We're friends. Those rumors were inevitable, but there's no truth to them," she told Vogue Australia.

In a subsequent interview with People, Robbie described DiCaprio as a "wonderful big brother," but further noted there were no sparks between them on the set of The Wolf of Wall Street. The actress even joked that her friends got "upset" when she told them "there weren't any fireworks" between her and the movie star. Instead, Robbie says DiCaprio "took me under his wing and always looked out for me," so there's no reason to believe he'd try to pursue her all these years later. And given Robbie's own comments, it doesn't make sense to allege her husband is concerned about them being co-stars for a second time. Ackerley already knows he has nothing to worry about.

Additionally, E! recently published an article detailing Robbie and Ackerley's strong marriage. An insider told the site that the actress's husband "is very supportive of her." As Robbie herself stated, it's "inevitable" that the tabloids would create a nonexistent romance between her and DiCaprio. New Idea is attempting to do so once again now that the former colleagues are set to reunite. There's just still no merit to it.

Our Verdict

Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
