Margot Robbie's husband is not "keeping a close eye" on Brad Pitt, her Once Upon A Time In Hollywood co-star, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can correct this made-up claim. It's just another angle in an ongoing false narrative, trying to romantically link the two attractive stars.
The tale comes from Life & Style, which picked up on a report from its sister site, RadarOnline, that wrongly asserted Pitt was crushing on Robbie. In its latest story, the tabloid contends the actress's husband, Tom Ackerley, is allegedly concerned about Pitt's supposed "crush," and is now "keeping a close eye on Brad." The magazine claims Ackerley has been sending a message to Pitt to "steer clear of Margot." Then, after noting how Pitt has dated several of his co-stars in the past, the publication's so-called "source" is quoted as saying, "Tom doesn't want them socializing offset, and he's told Margot that he won't stand for it."
The truth, as noted above, is that Pitt is not hitting on Robbie, and there's no reason whatsoever to believe that her husband is "keeping a close eye" on him. For starters, as widely reported, Pitt has chosen fatherhood over dating. His focus during his custody battle with Angelina Jolie is on his children, not his married co-star. Additionally, his rep previously assured us there's nothing going on between Pitt and Robbie.
It should also be noted that Life & Style was the same outlet that falsely contended Pitt and Robbie were "flirting up a storm" in July while on the set of Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. At the time of that report, however, Pitt and Robbie hadn't even begun working together. Actually, Robbie was on vacation with her husband in Costa Rica in July when the article came out.
The reality is sometimes tabloids make up phony narratives that get picked up and spread by other outlets, leading to new manufactured scenarios. Five months ago, before the actress even officially signed on to Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, the magazine NW concocted a tale that maintained Robbie's husband wouldn't let her do the film with Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio because he was afraid of her "getting close" to the two men. Of course, she's now making the movie with them, so clearly that story was untrue.
Simply, Robbie and Ackerley keep their marriage private. But just because they don't publicize their union, it doesn't mean it has problems. On the contrary, they are happy partners in life and professionally, having co-produced a number of projects, including the movie I, Tonya. As reported, Ackerley is actually "very supportive" of Robbie and her successful career, which often has her starring opposite handsome men.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
