Is Mandy Moore fighting with Milo Ventimiglia on the set of “This Is Us”? That was the claim by a website exactly one year ago today. At the time, Gossip Cop said all talk of them feuding was false, and now 12 months it remains untrue. On the contrary, the two enjoy a great friendship off the set.

On January 15, 2018, RadarOnline contended Ventimiglia and Moore were fighting on the set, and the cast and crew had enough of it. An unnamed and untraceable “source” alleged that as soon as “This Is Up” started to become a hit, Ventimiglia began “withdrawing” from his co-stars, the producers, and the crew. The outlet further maintained Moore, in particular, was at her “breaking point” with Ventimiglia being “not cheerful” and constantly full of “melancholy” around everyone else.

But far from them fighting, Moore and her on-screen husband are very good friends. In the intervening year since the blog’s off-base report, they’ve shared their closeness on social media. In March, for instance, Ventimiglia revealed on the “Today” show how he and Moore watch “This Is Us” together on Tuesdays, like “husband and wife.”And on his birthday in July, Moore posted a photo of them on Instagram, along with a caption that read, in part, “As remarkable as Jack Pearson is, this guy is even better. Happy Birthday, @miloanthonyventimiglia.” She added, “Our job is so much fun because we get to do it together… [heart emoji] you, Mi!”

Additionally, just a month ago, Ventimiglia discussed on “Extra” how they “were all having a good time” at Moore’s wedding. Obviously, Ventimiglia wouldn’t have been invited to her small and intimate nuptials in November if they were fighting and she was at her “breaking point” with his supposed aloof and downtrodden attitude. Gossip Cop was told a year ago by a production source the story was untrue, and 365 days later it’s apparent the site was wrong about Ventimiglia and Moore feuding on the “This Is Us” set.

Bizarrely, seven months after its inaccurate report, RadarOnline published yet another made-up tale that Gossip Cop busted about how Moore and Ventimiglia ended their purported feud thanks to Chrissy Metz. According to that bogus story, Ventimiglia and Moore’s TV daughter Metz supposedly taught them in real life to “stop bickering and be nice.” While the original piece claimed they were fighting because Ventimiglia was melancholic and a loner, oddly in the article that dragged in Metz, it gave a different reason for them allegedly feuding.

The August story alleged Moore was resentful she had to audition for her part while her TV husband was simply handed his role. But the truth, as widely reported, was Ventimiglia auditioned for the part, and wasn’t what the producers originally wanted. As Gossip Cop has noted in the past, we sometimes revisit articles from a year before to show readers which outlets they can and cannot trust over time, and it’s clear the website’s tale about Moore and Ventimiglia fighting on the “This Is Us” set was incorrect then and remains wrong to this day.
