Madonna did not let kids “starve” or “go hungry” at her daughter Mercy’s birthday party, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can correct the claim from one of this week’s tabloids. We’re told it’s untrue.

According to the National Enquirer, during Mercy’s weekend-long birthday party in the Hamptons, Madonna went to bed early, “leaving angry guest to starve.” The supermarket tabloid claims that without given any warning, Madonna “disappeared into her bedroom and let her guests go hungry while their children blasted ‘unruly’ music.” The publication further alleges that “finally, at “9:45 PM on the second night of the sleepover, a guest stormed up to Madonna’s bedroom” and said, “My daughter’s starving! Those kids downstairs are starving! And the chef tells me he only takes orders from the lady of the house.”

The magazine then contends that only at that point did Madonna have dinner cooked for the kids, but that the chef “served a kosher meal that ‘was horrible.'” “In the end, several parents took their children to a local diner,” concludes the tabloid.

A bunch of questions come to mind. Why would the parents wait until the second night to say something to Madonna if their own kids were “starving”? Why not mention it earlier in the day? Why not go to that “local diner” sooner in they were hungry, rather than waiting two days and only going after they didn’t like the meal served to them? And lastly, why is this very questionable story popping up now when Mercy’s birthday was more than two months ago?

The simple answer to all the above questions, and what Gossip Cop has learned from a Madonna insider, is that the tabloid’s story is a fabrication. This never happened. We’re told it’s all untrue.

Given the Enquirer’s track record with Madonna, we’re not surprised by the falsity of this latest story. It’s the same discredited tabloid that Gossip Cop busted when it wrongly reported Madonna was rejected by James Corden for a “Carpool Karaoke.” Of course, the legendary singer appeared just a few months later in one of his taped singing bits. Not satisfied with already looking foolish, days after she was on the “Late Late Show,” Gossip Cop exposed the publication for making up a tale about Madonna yelling at Corden for smelling like cigarettes while filming “Carpool Karaoke.” None of those claims were accurate and neither is the latest manufactured article about Madonna letting kids “starve” at Mercy’s birthday.
