Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are NOT “blowing a gasket” over their son Maddox’s “crush” on Kylie Jenner, despite an absurd new tabloid report. Gossip Cop can bust this National Enquirer rumor, and we’d like to point out the magazine’s unhealthy fixation on the 13-year-old’s alleged romantic feelings. When he was just 10 years old, the Enquirer breathlessly described how upset Jolie supposedly was over his “puppy love” for Jennifer Aniston. Maybe the Enquirer should focus a bit less on these creepy Maddox stories.

In any case, a made-up source tells the Enquirer, “Madd is infatuated with Kylie. But there’s no way Brad and Angie would allow their kids to cavort with a Kardashian!” Um, cavort? “Brad and Angie have been very careful to restrict their kids’ access to TV and the Internet — but they couldn’t keep Kylie off Madd’s radar. They’re crossing their fingers that Madd’s crush blows over!”

We’re confused. Is the Enquirer saying Maddox just has a crush on Jenner? Or that he’s trying to date her? It sounds like the latter, because in this fantasy story concocted by the magazine, Pitt and Jolie are supposedly trying to stop their son from meeting up in person with the 17-year-old Jenner.

The magazine has spent years spreading false stories about the Jolie-Pitt children, especially Maddox. Usually, the outlet says Maddox is feuding with his siblings, or that Pitt and Jolie are fighting about something involving Maddox. But this new story is especially bizarre, and it’s at least the second time the Enquirer is focusing on Maddox’s romantic stirrings. Reporting on a 13-year-old’s potential dating life is creepy, and it seems like the Enquirer tried to drag Jenner’s name into things just because of her celebrity. A source close to the family tells Gossip Cop, “No. There’s no issue with Maddox and any girls.”
