Louis Tomlinson Back To You Tonight Show

Louis Tomlinson performed “Back To You” and took an “Internet Pop Quiz” for Friday’s “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Watch the videos below!

Though the performance, featuring Bebe Rexha and Digital Farm Animals, didn’t air until the late-night show’s week-ending installment, Tomlinson began teasing it several days ago. He tweeted on Wednesday, “Rehearsals going good for @FallonTonight! Again thank you so much for all the support on the single! You’re all incredible.” His excitement only increased on Friday, with the singer writing, “Ohhhhh sh*t! @BebeRexha sounds so f*cking good in rehearsals. Got a good feeling about tonight!”

And after the taping, Tomlinson posted, “That really did feel amazing. Can’t wait for you all to see it! Thank you @jimmyfallon for having us.” This marked the first time he and his collaborators performed “Back To You” on television. The song was released late last month as Tomlinson’s second single from his upcoming debut solo album. So far it’s only hit number 40 on the Billboard Hot 100, but TV exposure could certainly change that.

In addition to performing, Tomlinson also sat down backstage to answer a series of random questions for Fallon’s recurring “Internet Pop Quiz” series. The British star shared his favorite viral video, and revealed who he likes to follow on Instagram. And though you wouldn’t know it from his skinny frame, the singer confessed to packing away a lot of food.

Tomlinson is making the media rounds in the U.S. to promote “Back To You.” That included radio interviews last week, during which Tomlinson told Andy Cohen about getting kicked out of a Trump hotel and reconciling with Zayn Malik. Another radio chat raised eyebrows because he expressed disagreement with Bieber canceling his tour. As Gossip Cop reported, that led Whoopi Goldberg to actually defend Bieber’s break and slam Tomlinson on “The View.”

Tomlinson, of course, is no stranger to Fallon’s show. He performed his debut solo single, “Just Hold On,” on “The Tonight Show” back in March, and he’s appeared in past years with One Direction. Check out the new videos below!
