LL Cool J can’t remember his lines while filming “NCIS: Los Angeles”? That’s the claim in one of this week’s new tabloids, but Gossip Cop can exclusively set the record straight.
An article in the latest issue of Star claims the rapper-turned-actor still struggles with reciting his dialogue even after eight years starring on the hit CBS show. A supposed “insider” tells the magazine, “It’s painful. He’s a great guy, and he really tries, but rarely does a day’s shoot go by without him having to be fed some lines.”
The outlet’s dubious insider goes on to say that the cast and crew of the TV series usually put up with LL Cool J’s alleged lack of skills because he’s friendly on set. “If he wasn’t such a nice person, there would be way more people kicking up a stink,” says the questionable source. “It’s difficult to be angry with him, though, because he’s genuinely lovely.”
Of course, Gossip Cop won’t refute that LL Cool J is a nice guy, but the assertion that he can’t remember his lines is entirely false. We checked in with a source involved in the production of “NCIS: Los Angeles,” and we’re exclusively assured the actor has no trouble delivering his dialogue, nor does he have to be “fed lines” while shooting. The tabloid’s claim otherwise is entirely unfounded.
Oddly enough, this wouldn’t be the first time Gossip Cop has had to call out Star for making up behind-the-scenes drama on a hit TV show about criminal investigators. We previously busted the magazine for falsely claiming Priyanka Chopra is difficult on the set of ABC’s similarly-themed thriller, “Quantico.” That article was completely bogus, and the same goes for the outlet’s latest one.
