Linkin Park has canceled its “One More Light” tour in North America, one day after its lead singer Chester Bennington committed suicide at his home in Los Angeles. The band was slated to next play the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, Massachusetts on July 27, followed a show on August 1 at the BB&T Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, and then the Jiffy Lube Live in Bristow, Virginia on August 2, but all those concerts and others slated for August, September, and October have been scrapped. Linkin Park, we hear, has also nixed its August 4 appearance on “Good Morning America,” as part of the morning show’s Summer Concert Series.

Live Nation tweeted, “The Linkin Park One More Light North American Tour has been cancelled.” The company also noted that refunds would be available, before adding, “Our thoughts to all affected.” Shortly afterwards, a number of ticket-selling sites also noted that the “One More Light” shows had been cancelled.

It should comes as no surprise that the tour was nixed, considering Bennington was the band’s frontman and other members of the group are having a hard time grappling with his suicide. Right after the news emerged of Bennington’s suicide, his band mate Mike Shinoda tweeted that he was “shocked and heartbroken.”

As Gossip Cop previously reported, Bennington had struggled in the past with alcohol and drugs, and had acknowledged in interviews that he had considered suicide after suffering from sexual abuse as a child. The singer killed himself on what would have been his friend Chris Cornell’s 53rd birthday. And like Cornell, at whose funeral he performed, Bennington also hanged himself.

Following the sad news on Thursday, a number of celebrities reacted to Bennington’s death. Among the many who expressed their condolences was Jimmy Kimmel. He tweeted, “Chester was one of the kindest men I’ve had on my show. My heart breaks for his family and friends. He will be missed terribly.” And Ryan Seacrest wrote, “The news about Chester Bennington is devastating. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and @linkinpark. Such a tragic loss.”
