Lil Wayne is being sued for a hate crime after allegedly yelling “f**k you, white boy” at a security guard, who further claims the rapper punched him in the face while working at the L.A. club Hyde in 2016. As Gossip Cop reported a year ago last June, the security guard accused Lil Wayne of hitting him at a BET Awards after-party that he was throwing when the doorman wouldn’t let in several members of his entourage. As we noted then, the security guard went to the hospital following the alleged altercation and later filed a battery report against the rapper.

Now, a year later, the bouncer is suing Lil Wayne and contends in his lawsuit that Weezy’s use of the phrase “white boy” makes it a hate crime, which could result in added damages. According to the court papers, the doorman maintains he was trying to ensure the proper flow of people going in and out of Hyde when the rapper lost his cool and slugged him in the face, causing him to land on the ground. The security guard also alleges Lil Wayne tossed a drink at him as he shouted, “F**k you, white boy.”

Lil Wayne, however, denies he assaulted the bouncer. As Gossip Cop previously noted, Weezy acknowledges there was an altercation, but says he never punched the security guard. Gossip Cop has reached out to a rep for Lil Wayne for a comment about the newly filed lawsuit.
