Liam Hemsworth is not dating actress Maddison Brown to get revenge on Miley Cyrus, despite a ridiculous tabloid report. The actor's new romance has noting to do with getting back at his ex. Gossip Cop can debunk the claim otherwise.
Hemsworth recently began developing a romance with Brown, a fellow Aussie best known for her role on the Dynasty reboot. The pair was spotted kissing during a date night in New York City last week, and now In Touch is jumping at the opportunity to turn the actor's burgeoning new relationship into drama involving his ex. A headline in the latest issue of the magazine declares, "Liam's Revenge Romance!"
"They say revenge is sweet," an alleged source tells the magazine, adding that Hemsworth is "totally over Miley and the drama and is in a really good place." The outlet negates its own premise with that quote alone. If he's over the drama and in a good place, then why exactly is he exacting revenge on Cyrus with another woman?
The supposed insider further contends that Hemsworth is getting "some thrill out of knowing it must burn Miley to see him with Maddsion," adding, "Miley hurt Liam, plain and simple. So there's a lot of resentment there." The questionable tipster goes on to say the actor likes Brown because "she's like a classed-up version of Miley" and "not a loose cannon" like his ex.
From there, the unidentified source somehow also knows how Cyrus feels about her ex's new romance. "She never expected Liam to move on so quickly and has been behaving like a jealous brat since finding out about Maddison," says the suspicious insider. "To the outside world, she'll act like she doesn't care. But behind closed doors, she's fuming and spiraling."
There's not a single aspect of the tabloid's story that's remotely accurate. For starters, Hemsworth isn't using Brown to get revenge on his ex. People magazine, a much more reliable source for celebrity news than In Touch, recently reported that Hemsworth "is taking it slow" with Brown, "but he's definitely interested in her." It's not as if the actor has been flaunting his relationship on social media or anywhere else. The only reason the public learned of the coupling is because paparazzi snapped photos of them in New York.
Additionally, when Hemsworth announced his split from Cyrus on Instagram in August, the actor made a point of noting, "I wish her nothing but health and happiness going forward." He's not suddenly using his love life to get "revenge."
As for Cyrus, the singer started a relationship with Kaitlynn Carter following her split from Hemsworth, and she's currently seeing Cody Simpson. The idea she can't believe Hemsworth has "moved on" is absurd considering she's back in the dating world herself. Still, Gossip Cop checked in with sources close to the situation, who confirm the tabloid's report is total fiction.
It should be mentioned, In Touch has already proven to be clueless about what Hemsworth has been up to following his split. In late August, Gossip Cop busted the magazine for falsely claiming Hemsworth was dating Isabel Lucas, who previously dated his older brother Chris. This latest article makes no mention of that imaginary scenario. In addition to being untrue, the tabloid's stories about Hemsworth's personal life are inconsistent.
Gossip Cop has determined this story is totally false.
