“So You Think You Can Dance” winner Lex Ishimoto performed on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Monday. But this was no ordinary performance. “America’s Favorite Dancer” competed in a dance-off with Anthony Anderson. Check out the video below!

As Gossip Cop reported, Ishimoto was named the winner of “So You Think You Can Dance” season 14 exactly one week ago. The unique performer, who combines hip-hop and contemporary moves to form his own style, was named a frontrunner as soon as his audition aired earlier this year. He actually improvised that performance, but as he competed in the FOX competition with All-Star Gaby Diaz, a tap dancer who actually won season 12 in 2015, Ishimoto had to prove he could handle other genres of dance. And handle he did. In addition to tap, Ishimoto took on jazz, Broadway and more styles.

Ishimoto remained a fan-favorite throughout the reality show’s run, and actually beat his girlfriend, Taylor Sieve, to win the $250,000 prize. Now he stopped by DeGeneres’ talk show to show off his skills, albeit with the Anderson-involved twist. The host explained that the actor can breakdance and so she challenged him to a dance-off, but thought it would be a “better surprise” if he competed against Ishimoto. They had to take turns breakdancing, and could cut the other person off if the spirit moved them.

Anderson impressed by nearly doing a handstand right off the bat, and later did a headstand that led his phone to fall out of his pants pocket. Ishimoto was undeniably faster, but the “Black-ish” star certainly held his own. And in honor of the competition, Ulta Beauty donated $10,000 on each of their behalves to breast cancer research, since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. DeGeneres also made a quip about covering Anderson’s dance-inflicted medical expenses. Thankfully, Ishimoto remains in fine form for the upcoming “SYTYCD” tour. Watch the video below!
