The tabloids have thrown Leonardo DiCaprio into a lot of fake feuds with other celebrities over the years. Gossip Cop has debunked many of the actor’s supposed battles with other stars. Here are few wrong rumors on the topic.

Just a few months ago, Gossip Cop busted OK! for falsely claiming DiCaprio was “at war” with Brad Pitt on the set of their upcoming movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. According to the outlet, the two stars have “always had an intense professional rivalry” and it escalated when they started working together. The magazine further contended that the co-stars wouldn’t talk to each other when they weren’t filming. Only, the Daily Mail published photos from the set of the film, which showed DiCaprio and Pitt sharing a laugh during a break from shooting. Additionally, Pitt’s spokesperson assured us the two stars get along well.

Gossip Cop also debunked a National Enquirer story claiming George Clooney hated DiCaprio and found him to be an “arrogant punk.” The bogus story came on the heels of an Esquire interview in which Clooney revealed he beat the fellow star in a game of basketball after DiCaprio trash-talked him beforehand. The gossip media sensationalized Clooney’s comments and suggested there was bad blood between the two actors, but Clooney’s rep later clarified, “The Leo comments were all made in fun about basketball. Not about Leo’s life. The writer and George were laughing about basketball buddies.” The only battle between the two stars occurred on a basketball court.

Gossip Cop called out Star for wrongly reporting that DiCaprio had a falling out with Gerard Butler after Butler supposedly hooked up with a model the actor had been dating. According to the outlet, DiCaprio “confronted” the 300 star, who tried to apologize but his attempt at making amends was unsuccessful. Not only did a source assure us the story was nonsense, but just last year, DiCaprio and Butler played volleyball together at a beach party in Malibu. The two actors are still very much friends.

And finally, Gossip Cop busted the National Enquirer for wrongly reporting that DiCaprio was feuding with Clint Eastwood on the set of the movie J. Edgar. The magazine maintained that the movie star wanted to reshoot a scene because he felt he could do a better job but the director refused. At the time the story was published, a source involved in the film’s production assured us it was false. In a subsequent interview with USA Today, DiCaprio spoke about his experience working with Eastwood, and noted, “He never stopped me from doing as many takes as I needed. He’s straight to the point, but that brings out the best in you.”
